We collect only the data necessary to provide the App:
- Email address
- Hashed password
- Optional username
- Plant diary entries content
- User-uploaded photos
Other data is not collected.
3. Why We Collect This Data
We process personal data to:
- Create and manage user accounts
- Authenticate users
- Store and display plant diary content
- Provide core app functionality
The legal basis for processing is performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
4. User-Uploaded Photos
Users may upload photos to their plant diaries.
- Photos are stored only to provide the diary feature
- Photos are private by default
- Photos are not shared with third parties
- Photos are not used for analysis, marketing, or profiling
- Photos are not used for advertising
- Photos and can be shared by the users themselves
- Photos and can be stopped from being shared with other users by the users themselves
- Photos may be removed by the user
Photos and associated metadata may be removed automatically when an account is deleted.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as the account exists.
When an account is deleted:
- Email address
- Login credentials
- Diary entries
- Uploaded photos
are permanently removed.
6. Cookies
The App uses only cookies necessary for authentication and security.
We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect personal data, including:
- Secure password hashing
- Restricted access to stored data
- HTTPS connections
8. User Rights
Under GDPR, users have the right to:
- Access their personal data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of their data
- Object to or restrict processing
